My skin has been going nuts lately, and I can't figure out exactly what the cause is. I have tried various products that I've used in the past, but it still isn't stopping my breakouts.
My mother pointed me in the direction of something she used to use when she had breakouts: witch hazel.
On a trip to the Dollar Tree I found some and thought I would give it a try. My mother and I have very similar skin types, so if it worked for her I think it might work for me as well.
After I washed my face I applied some with a cotton ball, and I was amazed at the gunk that came off of my skin! I thought I had a great cleanser since it works wonders on blackheads, but it left behind so much! After the witch hazel I applied my regular moisturizer.
Generally I am oily about an hour or so after I wash my face and put on my moisturizer (normal thing for hot and humid Florida), though here we are about an hour and a half later and my skin feels just as clean as after I finished my nightly routine.
I won't have a full review of results for at least a week (I imagine that is how long it will take for my skin to clear), though I can already feel a distinct difference in my skin. I really hope this works.
