Then it hit me like a shit-ton of bricks.
I have so much to do for all of my classes and I don't feel like I have enough time.
Tonight is dedicated to studying while watching movies. First is Beauty and the Beast. Next is probably the Death Note movies again, then whatever is on Adult Swim tonight. Anime night! Yay! It's been so long since I've been able to stay up past midnight, I doubt I'll actually get to see any of my shows.
Now for my new finds.
A few days ago I watched a hair tutorial posted by Jen over at From Head to Toe (to check it out, go here). I have never been able to braid my own hair, but I finally did manage to get it done after multiple tries. Anyway, one of the products she used in the tutorial were Goody Spin Pins.
I have been curious about them for a while, but didn't ever think to buy them since I never really have any luck with the products that are supposed to make doing your hair easy. After watching Jen throw her hair into a bun so quickly and easily I decided to try them for myself, and I am glad I did. I have never been able to put my hair into a bun without using an elastic that would show. With these, I can do a simple bun with absolutely no issues. It doesn't fall down, either! These have become one of my newest favorite styling items.
On that trip to the market, I also got Hard Candy's World Balmination in Bridal Blush (around $3.00) and Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner palette for hazel eyes (around $10).
First off, the Bridal Blush.
I know it looks very orange in this picture, but it is more nude than anything. I like it because it tones down the natural redness I have in my lips, and adds a nice touch of gloss. The downside is it doesn't last very long. I can't judge exactly how long the color lasts since there isn't much color apparent on my skin, though I did get an accurate idea by how quickly the overall glossy look diminishes. I've worn it to work a few times and have yet to see any sort of staying power. It isn't bad for $3.00.
I have yet to try the Physician's Formula shadow, mainly because I don't wear much makeup to work, though I had to share it.
This palette is designed to enhance hazel eyes. I don't have hazel eyes, but I got it anyway for that delicious pinkish purple in the middle. The picture simply doesn't do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful.
I need a new camera so I can share swatches and results! Maybe I will buy myself one for my birthday!
