First post of the year! I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year.
Unfortunately, I spent my New Year's Eve sick. I went to the hospital on Saturday morning after I collapsed at work. I don't remember much, but I do remember my amazing work team coming to my rescue. John and Roy really saved my life Saturday, and I don't know what I'd do without them coming to my aid. I called my aunt and she arrived not long afteward. I don't remember much, but I do remember customers taking care of me before my backup and aunt got there.
I was there for about two or so hours. They gave me fluids and did some x-rays of my stomach and abdominal area to see if there was a cause for the vomiting and fainting. Luckily, they found nothing in either the x-rays or in the blood they took. I was given a clean bill of health other than the stomach virus I am fighting off.
I go in to see the doctor either tomorrow or Tuesday for a follow up and a check up to see if they found anything else in my blood that they didn't test for at the hospital.
So, my New Year's Eve accessory?
My hospital bracelet.
Today I've done nothing but sleep on and off. I still don't feel 100%. Hopefully my trip to the doctor will get everything straightened out.
So a quick summary of how I rang in the New Year:
- Collapsed at work
- Had my first ambulance ride
- Got poked and prodded at the hospital
- Slept the rest of the day
Here's to a new, hopefully hospital free, year!
