My favorite food is broccoli casserole.
You can find the recipe for this particular version of broccoli casserole at myrecipes.com.
The only difference between this recipe and my mother's recipe is we don't use mayo in it, just the mushroom soup, cheese, broccoli, and bread crumbs.
It's really simple. Combine a 16oz bag of frozen broccoli (cooked) with a can of cream of mushroom soup and the shredded cheddar cheese and then top with bread crumbs. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it's slightly bubbly and the bread crumb have turned golden brown, in an oven set to 350 degrees. You can add rice, too. My cousin adds cooked rice to hers and it makes it more filling and yummy.
You can season to taste. For me, it's all about the cheese and less about the spices.
I will say that this is incredibly fattening and probably super bad for you, but this is one of my comfort foods. I don't feel good and mom will make me this. It tastes like home.
