Etude House Haul

I got my first Etude House haul in the mail today!

I get alerts about the whereabouts of my packages on my phone, so the 6:30 AM alert that it was out for delivery had me excited all day long ^^

For the details on each product, read on!

One of the main reasons for my order was this concealer, the Surprise Essence Concealer in shade 1. I have read some amazing reviews about it and had to try it myself. I have not used concealers like this before so I know there is going to be a learning curve.

I have a little scar on my hand from an IV, so I decided to see if this lived up to what the website said it would do, and it does! I'll do a full blown test and review for a later post.

This concealer is only $5.

Because I've never used the liquid product above, I decided to get the Surprise Concealer Kit as well, the number 1 for Flaw Coverage.

I'm much more accustomed to concealers like this in a palette.

I chose this one rather than the other one for dark circles because this one is better suited to my skin tone, while the one for dark circles is too dark for me.

This kit is $7.

I also decided to give the Tear Eye Liner a try. This is number 3, which is pearl. It's really beautiful and opens up the eyes.

What I like most about this is it leaves a pink shimmer, and changes color depending on the angle you view it. It's amazing!

This liner is $6.

I'm already in love with the Etude House lippies so I wanted to add to my collection.

This is the Dear My Wish lip color in PK003. I love a bright lip, and this definitely provides.

This was just a just test of the color. It goes on incredibly smooth and is highly pigmented.

This lippie is such amazing quality for only $9.50.

I also got another sunscreen because they were on sale buy one get one free.

This is a gel type, while the Innisfree I picked up is a mineral. This is also a spf 50 compared to the 35 of the last one I got.

I used it after I got it since I hadn't done any sunscreen yet today and it feels really good on my face. It doesn't leave your face sticky at all, just soft and silky.

It's been about six hours since I put it on and I haven't had an oil problem, either. Win!

For $8.50 I got two.

I am ready to color that red part of my hair a darker color, so I got this on a whim.

It's definitely a strange way to color, in my opinion. I am definitely doing a whole post on this baby. I'm used to bottled creams or foams. This is in a league of it's own!

I was really pleased about the price of this product, too. It is only $7.

Last, but not least, some cleansing wipes for makeup removal.

The price is so good for what you get! Most of the wipes I've gotten here in the states have hit $5 or more for a decent brand. These are only $4 for 50 wipes! Can you believe that?

It had me like

I hit the add to cart button so hard I thought I was going to break my mouse. Most of the cleansing wipes you can get at places like Walmart (Neutrogena, Simple, Aveeno, etc) cost around $5 and over and only have maybe 25 wipes per pack. That's like 17 cents per wipe, compared to only 8 cents per wipe.

Yeah, I'm one of those people, lol. Mathematical!

All together I paid around $60. This was after a coupon. When you sign up, you get a 10% off coupon for your first purchase. You get a 20% off on your second, which is rad.

Everything is very reasonably priced. I think what hit me the hardest was the shipping, though with the coupon it ended up coming out to where the shipping was essentially free.

It didn't hit me until after I placed my order that I forgot to get the Curl Fix mascara that I wanted :( I'll order it next time.

Overall, I'm completely pleased with this haul. The only thing I'm somewhat iffy about is the hair color!

Stay tuned

  1. Hahah I pretty much did the same face when you said how much the makeup wipes were! Even the generic Target brand ones I've been buying lately are $4 for 25 of them so I'll definitely be looking into those, the less I have to buy the darn things the better :< I've also been on the hunt for a new concealer so I'm curious to see a full review on the ones you picked up!

    1. Even the generic wipes are expensive! That makes me so sad! It's terrible that I can get a better quality wipe for a lower price that is a reputable brand. I'd expect generic to be cheap.

I wish we had a Target in my town. We only have a Walmart as far as a big box store, and I despise that place. I worked there for a year and they were absolutely terrible from an ethical standpoint. I finally stopped shopping there entirely. It's been a year since I've set foot in one and I honestly don't miss it.

I can say that the liquid concealer does a pretty good job. My scar vanished, and it's pretty dark. I'll post a picture to instagram and tag you so you can see how well it works.

Congrats on winning the Beauteque bag, btw! I did a little happy dance for you when I saw the contest results earlier :)
